Daily Northern Safari/ Whale Watch Safari Tour

For those already on the Moreton Island, you can join our daily scheduled Northern Safari departing at 8:30am every day with pickups at Tangalooma Resort and Bulwer or your location to see the most beautiful attractions around the northern half of Moreton Island. Our 4wd Buses or vehicles will take you along endless stretches of beaches surrounded by crystal clear blue waters and scenic offroad sand tracks through the bush to explore all the sights.

Travel from Tangalooma resort an old whaling station past Tangalooma wrecks 15 sunken ships which are full of marine & fish life, behind Cowan Cowan which has WWII relics and along the western beach with panoramic mainland views, then to Bulwer originally a pilot station for ships. Across the top of the island through coastal forests with a variety of bird life thriving on the wildflowers.

To North Point where its time for some morning/afternoon tea (included). See the Champagne Pools a natural foaming ocean pool among the rocks, then photograph picture perfect Honeymoon Bay.

Next stop, Historical Cape Moreton Lighthouse, great for viewing marine life & whale watching in season, with magnificent views across the island. Also visit the information centre to learn about the Islands rich history and see displays. Past the tea tree oil infused waters of Blue Lagoon as we travel along the Surfside, 37km of white sandy ocean beach where we will catch glimpses of Eagles, Kites and Oyster Catchers, then 4wd through the native vegetation of Moreton Island National Park across middle road back to your accommodation.
