Our 4wd's will take you along endless stretches of beaches surrounded by crystal clear blue waters and scenic offroad sand tracks through the bush to explore all the sights.
Leaving your pickup location we 4WD across the centre of the island, through the native vegetation of the Moreton Island National Park emerging on the Surfside, a seemingly endless white sandy ocean beach where we will catch glimpses of Eagles, Kites and Oyster Catchers, to Rous Battery for a wander around the remains of the world War II fort and artillery installation, the Mirapool originally the ocean, now an enclosed saltwater lagoon which supports marine life and is a sanctuary for migratory and resident shorebirds. Across the Southern tip of the island through coastal forests to the township of Kooringal with a stop at the Famous Gutterbar for a refreshment stop.
Travel up the western beach through mangroves, past the Oyster Farms (Where you can purchase fresh Oysters in season or order prior). Past the Little Sandhills (Coonungai), then a scenic stop or energetic climb to the top of the Big Sandhills (Gheebulum) which offers a spectacular view of Moreton Bay. Back along the Western Beach to your departure point.
